The Negus World collective was founded by Haitian brothers, and recording duo Johwell and Bennchoumy. Along with fellow rapper Okai, they make up an organization based on music, dance and self empowerment. In some Ethiopian languages, "negus" means king, and Negus World aim to educate young people about the connotations of words and ideas commonly used in hip hop music.
