about

Hip Hop africain.
Tête penseuse du rap made in Africa, YaoBobby représente
PARTOUT.

ENGLISH:

If the group Djanta Kan roars today beyond the borders of Togo, YaoBobby is the one who was able to resonate the sound of his group. Founding member of the premier rap crew of Togo, he goes primarily under the pseudonym of Bobby and stands among the pioneers of Hip Hop in the country.

After two albums (AGBEADZEZO and DOTO!) widely acclaimed by the public and the festival organizers, African kings prepare a new album and with the voices of three members of the group, they made their way in Europe and the Americas. Festivals, sound systems, invitations on stage (Didier Awadi invited YaoBobby during his show in Paris, on the main stage of La Villette), or on compilations (YaoBobby South Border was released in September 2009)

And because it is one of the leading thinkers and voices of African rap, YaoBobby is a member of the largest network of artists of the black continent AURA (United Artists for African Rap) alongside the likes of Awadi , Xuman, Tonton David, Yeleen, Tata Pound … and with whom he has assembled and presented his music in all African countries. Meanwhile, he set up his own production ARTS2RUES with which he works hard to the support the professionalization of young artists and the promotion of a true African Hip Hop movement.

YaoBobby is EVERYWHERE. It shows in exchanges, meetings, and he raps his Togo in all places where they speak it. And speaking of Djanta Kan, in England he was featured on the compilation Afrolution alongside big names in rap Africa.

And because the energy and the will of the creator of the Kan Djanta crew echoes to the remotest regions, festivals in the United States and South Africa are very interested in the work of the ambassadors of Togo.

A traditional Hip Hop claiming a true identity, a humble and respectful attitude, the recipe for Kan Djanta group, well represented by a member who has created around him a network and make themselves known as the greatest, is very effective. Thus one of the major Paris labels approached YaoBobby to represent African Hip Hop. Fervently the Kings Djanta will carry high the flag of Togo.
